We had been meaning to get out to Nier the Nook for some time and finally had the chance to come for dinner one evening. We were immediately upset we hadn't visited sooner!
This quaint little spot in downtown Naches was one for more memorable meals we've had in long time and may quickly become our go to spot!
The place has a very relaxed feel. The dining room has lots of space and the seating is set up for large and small groups alike. There are large church pews set up along the walls that make for great bench style seating! The walls are decorated with PNW pictures and really create a cool vibe.
There drink menu is rather extensive and the drinks we had were phenomenal! I had a blueberry whiskey buck and my best half had a strawberry swizzle - both were spot on and drinks we will order again.
The appetizers were solid. They were out of the Colombian empanadas but we did have clams and mussels in a chorizo broth...get this to start! They were among the best we've ever had and we all dough over who got to sip up the broth with the extra bread!
The kids menu here contains small versions of the main courses and - STAMP IT - these are best kids options we've found! The Mac and cheese was probably the best we've ever had. It was smokey, cheesy, just a bit crunchy and overall just perfect! The chicken strips were also phenomenal (from someone who's normally not real excited about chicken strips). The steak and fries was also legit!
The two of us shared a steak salad and it was A+! Just the right size and the steak was done perfectly.
The desserts were solid though the only course that we weren't wowed by. The crème brûlée was good not great and the deconstructed ice cream sandwich was good and with some ganache it could be Epic!
All in all, we were blown away by this spot! By the end of the night, it had become a go to and baring something unforeseen, it will continue for some time! -

Had the pleasure of trying out this gem last night on the final evening of Yakima Valley Restaurant Week. It did not disappoint! From its clever name (raiNIER the chiNOOK) cute and minimalist decor, friendly staff, to the great food we were happy.
We were seated right away, and the server was very sweet and attentive. My 3 year old son is in a "hulk" phase, so he demands to be referred to as the Hulk when wearing his costume. The entire staff seemed to pick up on this and even brought him a bucket of toys to play with while he waited for his food.
The food: Started off with the ahi tuna appetizer. The black and white sesame crust was a tasty touch and the slaw was good. I wish there was an wasabi dipping sauce though, that would have kicked it up a notch. kids Mac and cheese for the hulk which surprisingly looked like homemade Mac and cheese and he loved it. My older son had the bacon Mac and cheese and it was delicious. My husband had the special peppercorn steak which he described as perfect. I had the prime rib and lobster tail and I don't know what the sauce was that topped the tail, but I could've eaten it with a spoon. DELICIOUS. We finished our meal with a salted caramel creme brûlée and a chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top. Both were tasty. The brûlée has the perfect amount of crackle and the cookie was warm. All in all a perfect meal.
The only criticism and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was how cold it was in the dining room. Like, uncomfortably cold. I don't mind being cool, but I had to wear my jacket throughout the whole dinner.
I recommend giving this little gem of a place a try, I've heard amazing things about their lunch menu as well. I will make a point to travel to Naches a little more often, if only to dine at this establishment. -

My parents asked me to look up a place for them to eat in Naches. A quick search found this place and are they glad it did! Text from my mom: "The mac and cheese was delicious. Too bad it has bacon-I would have given you the leftovers. [I'm a vegetarian.] This place is Farm to Table and everything is homemade, right down to the fresh cut fries. Dad's BLT had shrimp on it!" I live in Moses Lake and my parents in Castle Rock. Needless to say this is our new favorite restaurant along the way!

This place is so good! You can tell that everything is fresh and made in house. We had the nook burgers and they were tasty. I also had a side salad and it was so fresh and delicious. We were driving through from Mt. Rainier NP and it was a nice lunch break.

This place was fantastic. Atmosphere is a rustic look with some cool decor. Great service. I had the COBB salad and my wife had a steak Really good. Save room for desserts. Apple crisp was really good and I had a brown butter berry cake that was top notch.
